Lyrics

Once again, thanking the Uber-producer Jason Fuse.

The freaks twitch left and right
The freaks twitch left and right
When they’re in the spotlight (the freaks pass out)
The freaks twitch left and right

Free range kids open their own front door
When they get home from school a few minutes to 4
But when the freaks wake up they’re already in class
And the teacher gave birth to their indentured ***
Lunch is apple slices and boiled kale
Toddlers preparing for Harvard and Yale
When asked to spell vivisepulture on TV
The twitchers begin lurching laterally, cause

The freaks twitch left and right
The freaks twitch left and right
When they’re in the spotlight (the freaks pass out)
The freaks twitch left and right

Now the spelling bee’s startin’ the place is packed
And when the stakes are high is when the spasms attack
These lexicon robots never see the sun
They need Flintstone Vitamin D supplements
Panic shows in all shapes, sizes, and colors
But that’s what happens when your tiny developing brain is smothered
Studying etymology for hours on end
Don’t know the derivation of making friends
Some of them look like they can hardly breathe
And another subset have chattering teeth
In about thirty years they’ll be CEO’s
The best part of their life shaved away by the grindstone (Rosebud)

The freaks twitch left and right
The freaks twitch left and right
When they’re in the spotlight (the freaks pass out)
The freaks twitch left and right

Somehow, I've only listened to this jingle once and it has already been stuck in my head all day. So many great lines and great production.

The home school stuff and "lexicon robots" killed me when I read this the first time.

The clips at the beginning cracked me up instantly. The rest kept it going. The production on this is positively outstanding!

This is fantastic. I watched the Bee last night and it was hilarious as always. Not sure if I like that or Child Genius better. Now THERE are some twitchy freaks.

Don’t know the derivation of making friends - you're not talking about jinglers here are you Rob? Once again nailed it.

Jaw-dropping production and performances. Lyrically incredible also. I still remember deejaying Friday Night High School dances in 1986 (when I was in High School) and always getting WHODINI requests. Just fabulous, fellas!!!
