I saw a few other incredibly well done Les Mis songs here, but couldn't find this one at all. It's the only musical I've ever seen live, so thought I'd try something that's brand new to me... Today is the fist time I've ever tried to sing anything like this, and now probably the last.

I loved how much Mr Tony was into the story Wilbon told about the MJ party, so I combined that with that picture of Tony at the Super Bowl - and ended up with this mess written from Tony's perspective.

Stars (Wilbon's Story)
There, out at the parties
By MJ invited
Michael Wilbon
Michael in the place
Oh what he must witness
I never shall see
Beyonce's hair in his face
Beyonce's hair in his face

He knows who these people are
Mine is the way of the old
Ludacris and Fabolous
Names? Adjectives? I'm not sure
And if they text me on my cell,
I'd just put them on hold

I want to be like you
Without all the overhead
I'm skipping the parties
I might hang out with Jaws
Or Simmons or Carville
Or.. Affleck and Damon?!
But I'm not dropping names
No I'm not dropping names
'Cause if they called me on my cell,
I'd still put them on hold

I want to know about them
Just not be around them
It may sound bizarre
I'll live vicariously
Through Wilbon and his stories
Wilbon and the stars

I mean, "24601" = "20015" practically writes itself for The Overture/Work Song/Look Down part... Also, "The Miserable" seems an apt title for that story.

I must have listened to this 10 times. Only a few more tunes & we have a legitimate first half of "Les Miserables: The Tony Kornheiser Story"

I did not see Les Miserables taking quite the hold it has on the oeuvre of TK Jingles. Having said that, this is a great idea, great lyrics and a great performance!
